Richard Vetro
Richard Vetro is an accomplished guitarist who has been playing guitar for 23 years.
After completing the highly acclaimed Jazz program at Humber College (Performance/Arranging Major), Richard spent time furthering his education while studying, arranging and composing with Shelly Burger (formerly of “Chaka Kahn”).
Over the past one and a half decades, Richard has been performing with several tribute and cover bands such as (James Brown, Prince, 70’s Disco and Top 40’s). Most of his pursuits led him to perform across Canada and the United States as well as several opportunities to work overseas in Asia.
At present, Richard is performing with the “Decadance band” within Ontario’s corporate circuit and has been teaching on a part-time basis for over 13 years. Some of the guitar courses that he has taught include: classical, folk, rock, blues, jazz, heavy metal, R&B, funk, reggae, dance and latin as well as bass guitar, music theory, arranging, composition, rhythm reading, sight reading, ear training, solo performance and music history.
Richard is an asset to the teaching industry and looks forward to many more years of offering his expertise and experience to furthering the education of future avid guitar players.
