Miles Gibbons
A deep rooted love of music and an affinity for the groove resulted in Miles Gibbons’ first backbeat at age 12. He has since developed into an established performer and teacher, and a budding composer. Studies with Ian Copeland and Jeff Salem led Miles to Humber College, where he will be graduating this year from the esteemed Jazz Performance program. Miles has studied at Humber with Mark Kelso, Ted Warren and Paul Delong, and played in ensembles ranging from small jazz combos to big bands.
Miles has performed across Southern Ontario on all varieties of stages, playing original music in nightclubs, to jazz in wedding halls. He has also performed in several of the Georgetown Globe Musical Theatre’s productions. Miles is also an integral member of pop group Art of Action, in which his music and lyrics are featured.
Miles has been teaching for the past few years focusing on drum set fundamentals, and general musicality. Miles is excited to be a part of Jeff Salem’s Music Studio.
